Position Announcement
Job Title: Customer-Focused Scrapbooking Sales Team Member
Photo Express has a fast paced, dynamic work environment serving our customers complete photo imaging and memory preservation needs. Our sales team plays one of the most important roles in our company and is the main area of customer contact, thus requiring the right type of person. We are looking for outgoing, friendly sales people, able to provide excellent customer service to our customers. The position requires excellent sales skills, a hard work ethic, the ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment, and to be accountable for assignments. The successful candidate must also be responsible and self-motivated and able to take direction from the team leader.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Exceptional customer service is job #1!
- Assisting customers with product selection and creative ideas
- Complete customer sales using a computer and POS system
- Recognize if a customer is missing something for their project and be able to make suggestions to help the customer
- Assist customers in other areas of the store as needed
- Answer customer questions and if unable, to find a team member who can
- Sign customers up for classes and special events
- Answer the telephone in a polite manner
- Price new products
- Create and move displays as necessary to accommodate product
- Tidy and straighten the store
- Restock products
- Help with special events planning and promotion and at the events
- Continually expand personal knowledge of the scrapbooking and photographic industries by taking classes, reading trade publications, websites etc.
The successful candidate must have at least basic knowledge of scrapbooking and the tools and techniques associated with it, basic computer skills, and must have excellent customer service and sales skills. Previous retail sales experience, while not absolutely necessary for the right candidate, is preferred. Photo Express is a busy store with many different functions, so the successful candidate must also be able to maintain a high level of productivity throughout the entire shift.
